this question stumped me...

Reader,

I’ll never forget the day my boss asked me a question that stopped me in my tracks.

“Where do you want to be in 5 years?”

I had to think quickly about a question I hadn’t given much thought.

Because—in full transparency—thinking that far into the future was not my mindset at the time.

So, I quickly thought about a larger leadership role at work and talked about that.

But on the inside, I was thinking: “I just want to be a stay-at-home dog mom.” 🐶🏠💕

I know that answer coming out of my mouth was the polar opposite of the answer in my head.

Looking back, I understand why I lacked the clarity about my career path.

More on that tomorrow...

In the meantime, I want you to think about where you want your career to be 5 years from now. And if you already know, hit reply and tell me. I'd love to learn more about you!
